Qompendium is an evolving and ever-changing platform for philosophy, art, culture and science, represented by a series of print publications: magazines, books and monographs. Furthermore, it is enriched by a gallery concept, a work shop and a fast-moving online portal.

Recently Qompendium Trivial was launched, an on-going project where people can contribute their inner thoughts to be published on the site, and where a curated selection will be put on display in future publications. They also run a superb blog with daily inspirations and curiosities.

Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope is a part-publishing house, part-gallery, part-magazine platform covering contemporary art and culture, founded in Milan 2009. Issue 6 of the magazine (see selections above) was art directed and designed by Studio Filippo Nostri, based in Ravenna, Italy. For more images and information visit the websites of Kaleidoscope and Studio Filippo Nostri.

With that post I’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a new contributor to Swiss Legacy! My name is Andreas Markdalen and I’m a Swedish Art Director based in Milan. I founded my miniature venture Youth in 2009 as a platform for non-commercial projects within graphic design and art, and am currently working daytime as a Senior Visual Designer at frog design here in Milan. You can reach me by e-mailing or by following @YOUTHPROJECTS on Twitter.

Elevens are a new range of t-shirts from London based designer James Greenfield. Celebrating hypothetical all-time best XI’s of various football clubs and countries, they have been conceived as a cult alternative to the replica strip. The shirts are printed on heavy cotton Gildan shirts in the UK. Their design owes a debt of inspiration to the fan forums and pundits who regularly debate their respective clubs all-time, dream line-ups.

New club shirts released this week are Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Spurs. The Machester United one also comes in a Newton Heath colourway as a stand of solidarity for the Anti Glazer campaign. A donation of £5 from each Newton Heath shirt will go directly to the MUST campaign.

Also released are two England shirts in time for the World Cup. The home strip features a dream team England all time XI, an almost impossible task to pick and sure to cause some debate. The away version features the famous team that lifted the Jules Rimmet in 1966. Here’s hoping they repeat it this year, of course if you’re English.

All shirts are $25/£16 and can be bought directly from http://gradiate.supermarkethq.com
