I am very happy to share with you this news! My new stationary I was working on just arrived at the studio…
For this new project, I wanted to focused more on the printing process rather than the graphic design. I really believe that a very simple design can reach a high level of aesthetic.

This stationary has been set in Helvetica Neue Bold on a 700gr Sirio Black/Black paper with a silver ink using the letter press process.

This sproject announce also my desire to keep designing under my own name. I will release my new website (www.xavierencinas.com) very soon along with new projects. I will keep you posted!

You can see a little “making of” this project here.

Rich Lyons now working at SEA informed me about a new project they’ve just designed for GF Smith: Naturalis x5.

This 24 page promo is printed on the GF Smith’s Naturalis Smooth Absolute White (330gsm/160gsm) and features Pearlescent foiling on the front and back covers. The launch is to be accompanied by a limited edition of 200 posters, also featuring foiled text.

The fifth in the series of ‘Naturalis’ from GF Smith features compelling photographs by celebrated Art Director Peter Saville and artist Anna Blessmann at the Tulis Russell paper mill in Fife.
“I imagined something historic and craft-based,” reveals Saville, “but it was more like being at an engineering works or an oil refinery – miles of pipework, steam and noise. Very industrial and exciting.”
Naturalis x5 is launched on November 5th in Manchester. Contact GF Smith for further details.

“Strikingly elegant presentation of a series of gorgeous atmospheric/tectonic collaborations. If memory serves, the individual CDs were released at intervals and then the box (and mini CD) was announced at the same time as the fourth one.”
