New poster by Farrow available at Blanka. 60£

Pre-order. (this will be dispatched on 11th November). Due to the size of this poster, oversees customers will be charged an additional £20 shipping cost. Each print is numbered and signed in an edition of 251. Screen-printed Pantone 810, Black, Cool Grey 9 and reflective ink on Campaign MG poster paper (120 GSM).

Farrow:

“We designed this poster to celebrate the 15th birthday of the Hacienda.” Farrow explains, “We had no idea at the time that it would be the club’s last. The code 51 15 25 05 97 (Fac 51 is 15 on 25 05 97) was printed in a reflective ink onto a grey background which rendered it almost invisible in daylight. The poster only came to life at night under the glare of car headlights. Our reasoning being that the message was only important to people who were out after dark.”

Thanks Blam for the info.

Project Vitra also features extensive unpublished material from the Vitra archives, relates the stories behind the furniture and designers and demonstrates the balancing act between cultural ambitions and commercial success. This overview is rounded off by a history of the firm and a comprehensive glossary.
